Yay style inconsistency ! For the fave character/fandom.
Jeremy Brett because I think I discovered Sherlock Holmes with him, Tenzin because he’s ADORABLE and Lurtz because I couldn’t choose a fave character so I chose one of my fave creature, and the uruk-hai are one of them.

took me the longest time ever to get an idea for him oh god…. I even drew a strip explaining he was a boring kid, forgot i had that to finish it, looked at it again yesterday, found that this idea would be better and hop quick sketch. So headcanon puck as a kid loved going out in the snow almost naked.

This would be one of his earliest memories. Yup. Kero is a kind of dragon/dinosaure thing cheelan use for… several things. I haven’t really thought about it still, and to be honest, this was the first time I draw one of those creatures.
I actually really like this sketch, doesn’t happen often. Also I have to draw them both as adults now.

As for your question, if I understood it right, I pretty much always ask myself about how my style is “right”, between the reality and what I want to show. Also, I want my lines to become more “organic”. I tend to rush my lines when I draw a body and with that, I miss a lot of curves… But I digress. I think the confidence you see in my lines might be the fact that I mostly scribble things until it looks quite right xD (Or it’s my low self confidence about my art who makes me say that. I can’t be objective, ffff.)
And for your critique for the colours I use, thank you again ! It’s something that I really want to improve (… as well as everything else, but still), and you saying that tells me that at least I’m not on a wrong path.
