the idea of him having long hair was just random but then it became canon because we loved it and I guess he doesn’t care that it’s not really practical for his job
Trying to find a good idea for his actual form ; i’m bad at designing stuff, because i get used way too quickly to the first sketch i do and end up keeping it.
They don’t have eyes because they don’t need them. I guess they can see from any cracks where the lava can be seen, even if in the end they choose that their uh main vision will come through the crack on their head. Also the two quick sketches in the bottom badly show how they would imitate some human(oid) expressions I guess. It’s a peaceful species who like to socialize with others (if they choose to see with their head, it’s because it will be less awkward for humans etc). And actually, you’ll almost never see this form outside of their lands (aside maybe some of them working in a foundry or something) because they tend to be half-humanoid for social, security and adaptation reasons, since they can be like…. 2 to 5 times the height of a human ? Yeah. I’m still thinking about all of this though so some aspects might change. Also i need a name for them
Oh and of course i had to think about the first time he and Keegan met and i have the whole scene in my head and idk what to do about it aaaaah
A first try for Rav’n’s original… semi humanoid form, Glenn and apples because i enjoyed drawing these. And thanks to this post I realized that you can’t upload high-res image if your first one is under 500px or something?? yeah who gives a shit

The scanner did not a good job on the auto adjustments but I was way too lazy to scan those pages again.
As usual I start a “new” sketchbook telling myself that no, you don’t have to show that to anyone, you can draw shitty stuff in it, but in the end when I look again at those pages I’m just “…. oh god who cares, upload them, plus it’s another way to have a back up” so there you go. Also you can see the pencil version of that monstrosity on the second page here.
On a eu Raven hier, on a Rav’n aujourd’hui. Recadré et pas fini parce que j’avais la flemme. Mais j’avais oublié à quel point ce perso est cool <3
Aussi, jcommence un peu à m’ennuyer à chercher quoi dessiner pour ce tumblr presque tous les jours, donc si vous avez des requêtes/idées/etc, hésitez pas. Que ce soit vos OCs (filez des bonnes refs et attendez-vous à être spam sur msn si je vous ai), le prochain gijinka pokémon que je pourrais faire, le prochain point du 100 technique meme que je pourrais faire, une question à la con pour un de mes persos, un challenge, une envie de voir un de mes persos porter je ne sais quoi, chais pas, allez-y. Jpromets rien, mais au moins j’aurais des idées. Sinon je sens que je risque de plus trop up ce tumblr. (C’est pas que je dessine plus beaucoup, c’est juste que le reste de mes dessins, je les garde pour moi. Et ils sont pas intéressants parce que ce sont principalement des études. Et j’ai pas spécialement envie de les montrer.)
